Group Maker

The Smart Student Group Maker streamlines small-group creation by combining fast randomization with custom student pairing rules. Unlike standard list randomizers, this tool includes a rule engine that lets teachers set "Never-Pair" constraints, ensuring specific students are automatically assigned to separate groups.

To create groups, paste your roster into the student name field (one name per line). Choose your preferred grouping structure by setting either a fixed number of total groups or a maximum group size. Use the "Never-Pair" section to select student pairs who should work separately, then click "Make Groups" to render clean group cards on screen.

Once created, you can click "Reshuffle" to generate new combinations while preserving your saved exclusion rules. Use the "Copy to Clipboard" button to paste group lists into your weekly lesson plans, or project the visual cards directly onto the board so students can find their assigned groups quickly.
